Harvard Trade Union Program
The HTUP is one of the best labor education programs in the United States and
serves the international trade union movement. It offers an annual 13-week program
for international trade unions leaders at Harvard University in Cambridge, MA.
They also sponsor conferences and co-host a Labor Watch page with CLCR.
AFL-CIO
This is the umbrella organization of American labor unions and has extensive links to all American unions, international unions, and international trade secretariats.
Garment Industry Development Corporation
Extensive experience in industry modernization and worker training and education in the Garment Industry. Centered in New York, and provides assistance nationally.
International Labor Rights Fund
ILRF is a resource and action center on international labor rights and solidarity.
School for Workers
This is a long established center for advanced worker education located at the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
Wisconsin Regional Training Partnership
This is a training consortium of 35 or so unionized metal working firms in Milwaukee.
Working Partnerships USA
WP is linked with the Santa Clara County Central Labor Council in California. They are experienced in community economic development policy, community economic analysis, community organizing, and strategic planning related to labor.
National Organizations:
National Association for Socially Responsible Organizations (NASRO)
NASRO is a co-operative for the new workplace. It provides service and advocacy for its growing membership of 30,000 self-employed workers that contract their services to other companies and individuals. A major service it provides is low-cost, high quality health insurance plans.
Working Today
Working Today is a not-for-profit organization organizing the self-employed to build their bargaining and lobbying power. Representing 60,000 members from more than 18 professional groups, WT members get discounted rates on health insurance, computer software, legal assistance, etc.

CNT specializes in new approaches to promote sustainable development both in policy and applied technology.

CFPA tracks innovative state legislation on economic development and other subjects.

CCE is a clearing house and resource center for community development in Canada and offers a range of publications and other assistance.

The Corporation for Enterprise Development

Economic Policy Institute
Labor-sponsored think tank analyzes economic and labor market issues, such as the impacts of increases in the minimum wage.

This site is a project of the International Health Program of the University
of Washington in Seattle, WA, and the Health Alliance International, also
in Seattle, WA. It is devoted to providing the background scientific evidence
that demonstrates and seeks to explain the association between income

Rachel's Environment and Health
Weekly Newsletter
This is a cutting-edge environmental newsletter put out weekly by the
Environmental Research Foundation in Annapolis, MD. The editor is Peter
Montague, a veteran social activist, environmentalist, and analyst. Subscriptions
